Islay & Jura
These two neighbouring islands could not be more diverse. Islay is world famous for its Single malt Whisky with seven distilleries in current production. That coupled with a lengthy ferry journey and some of the best beef in Scotland leaves the island less reliant on tourism that the other Inner Isles.
Jura on the other hand is one of the wildest of all Scottish islands and can only be visited with ease from Islay. With a population of around 180, outweighed over thirty times by red deer, Jura has some of the best walking in Scotland. A round of its famous "Paps" is high on the wish list of most hillwalkers.
