Dun Carloway Broch
Scotland's Atlantic seabord is strewn with ancient Brochs. Dun Carlabhagh on the west coast of Lewis is one of the better preserved, built sometime between 100 AD and 100 BC whether they were fortresses of simply dwellings is still not certain
