The Hornby Road

The Hornby Road otherwise known as the Salter Fell Road is an ancient highway across the Bowland Fells from Slaidburn in the south across the watershed to the Lune Valley and Lancaster in the north.
The road once carried packhorse trains laden with salt, now the road is popular with walker and cyclists.
