We had expected far more snow here than there was given it was at the height of The Beast from the East. We also expected more brightness from the weather forecast of the night before.
This was the third recent attempt to capture the perched erratic on Keld Head Scar, on each occasion the weather was far too cold to linger for very long, however on this visit I was lucky enough to get this reasonable image as the weak sun broke through fleetingly and gave me some contrast on the Erratic.. The exposure was 1/125th at f16 and ISO 200 in order to get the rock and Ingleborough in focus.
Sods law came into play as we returned past the Cheese Press Stone when the broke through for about 15 minutes.
